Following your writing dream is a path of adventure. Some of the trail is beautiful and inspiring, while other parts are rocky and steep, forcing you to just gut it out until the scenery changes. Right now, I am being challenged to explore the social media landscape, which is definitely foreign ground.
I love to write and create. I also love to learn from experienced writers who are much further down the path than I am and know the demands the trail will bring. One of those demands is marketing yourself. So, I am gingerly walking that trail, jumping over some mud puddles and logs, only to trip on others.
This blog is a part of my journey, so bear with me as I navigate the world of social media and try not to fall off a cliff while I’m staring at the rocky path beneath my feet. This past weekend, my guides, though not authors, were my middle son and his fiancé, who helped me set up this website and get Instagram going. Their help is EVERYTHING!
So, I encourage you all to find someone you can follow down the side path of social media. It’s not what I really want to be doing with my writing time, but it is a necessary part of my journey to publishing my book!
